I'm not quite sure what you mean by as far as the *not looking sloppy once your done* part but I can tell you what I do.

I take everything out of the cage, I take the cage outside, make up a bucket of bleach and soap water, take a scrub brush and scrub it down, than I start up the pressure washer, and use that to make sure I got it all plus it rinses it off really good that way!
I than leave the cage sit outside to *air out* for a couple hours before bringing it back in. While the cage is airing out, I go inside and wash down the walls and floors around that area. I do this every other weekend, and the weekend I dont do the cage, is the weekend the toys and wheels are all soaking in a tub if bleach water for cleaning!
Hope this helps.

I do about the same thing except I use a diluted soution of Simple Green & water & I just use the hose instead of the pressure washer. then I spot clean every other day with Clorox disinfecting wipes.

well im new to this whole site and postings but i will give some input that ive been told.I was informed that soap is NOT a good thing to use with gliders.Of course washing walls will have no effect on this. But far as the cage goes.I dont go spend no major money on special items.I use Bird cages for my gliders Because of the coating on the bars.It makes it really easy to clean with (warm to hot) water and a wet paper towels.I line the bottom with news paper. These type of cages also have plastic bottom trays witch makes it east to clean.Be careful if you go to this type of cage. There are kinds that have pop closed doors and when jumped on by a glider it pops open and you have a loose glider :}.I also make my own Bedding out of fleece material that can be washed in a wash machine.I set my cages on a 3/4 inch thick plywood board wraped in a old blanket witch can be washed easily. As you might tell i am the lazy man cleaner cause i like it easy to do. :}Plus i can get my daughter to do it.Since she also has gliders and is 11 yrs old and hates to work instead of playing.

thanx for the help guys!! i just didnt know if i was doing everything correctly. one more question...where do you put your gliders when you are cleaning the cage? i normally let my brother "baby sit" them while they are in the pouch but i would like to have a different option because he normally makes them mad so they start to crab. he doesnt let them sleep. my mom wont have anything to do with them so i cant go to her. does anyone have any ideas?

If I'm not wearing my Gliders at the time, I usually just
hang them on a door knob or stick them in a drawer. I make
it a point to clean cages while they're sleeping.

Also, I like the cages to dry in the sun so the animals
won't be harmed by any residual disinfectant.

the gliders were very spooked while all of this was going on. gizmo left his pouch and still hasnt returned. he has been jumping around for a while. is he okay?
