I have 2 boy gliders both going through puberty...they're brothers and have never fought the whole year and a half I've had them...latel;y they seem interested in one anothers "private areas". ever time i wake them up they're hanging out and I even catch them cleaning each other...flossing like. how can i tell if this is potentially dangerous. please someone help...i'm going cazy w/worry. I'm waking up at every little noise all night long...if somethings wrong I want to fix it and if not I'll stop worrying. also, peolpe say not toworry unless your gliders penis wony go back..well how long should iy be out before I worry...are there signs I should watch for? should it go all the way in or does it hang out a little usually? sorry to be so descript but I realy need to know. anyone with help i'd realy appreciate it.

Lol, it's a little gross, byt not uncommon for 2 males housed together to floss eachother. As long as there's no fighting or crabbing, I wouldn't worry about it.

it's not only the cleaning I'm worried about....how long does a male glider normally hang around with his areas out and about, if you know what I mean. it there a way to tell if it's irritated? he doesnt seem in pain ...he's a little moody but I hear that's common during puberty anyway.... are there real specific signs to watch for...I jut dont want to find out to late that somethings wrong and I could have prevented it.... I worry about them so much...my hjusband I dont have kids...our animls are our babbies...if anything happened to them I dont know what I would do!

It is very normal for a young male to hang out. Its a new find for them, as time passes it will be out less and less. You need to just keep an eye out making sure they are not having problems retracting and isnt out for a long time. Just make sure the penis looks moist and not dried. Fighting could happen more lickely if they are not nuetered. They are in the stage were one of the males may show who is more domanate and fight. This wouldn't be a good thing if that happens now while they are just finding themselves and could hurt one anothers areas!!
