Hey guys. I need your advice. I have two joeys, that I originally thought to be grays, but after the suggestion of an experienced color breeder, i am thinking that I may actually have champagnes on my hands... Their father was a champagne... and now that I am looking at pictures, i am thinking that maybe both of these joeys are too. I have attached a pic of one of the joeys and thier mom. Mom is a gray through and through, I have compared her with my normal grays, so I know what she is, but the joeys are much lighter than that.... I need opinions from Champagne experienced breeders here on this. Thanks bunches!

The mother appears to have some red in her. It seems pretty apparent from the stripe. I'm not great at the pick a color game though. Babies look gray to me, but I could be wrong.
The baby appears the same color as my grey gliders. I have never really understood the champagne coloring though...Looks like light gray to me...not sure why that makes it a separate color... I would say that mom and babies are both greys, just different shades. The Standard Grey glider is not really a certain shade of grey. It truly varies quite a bit...

Since mom is from a mosaic mother, she could be champagne. True champagnes seem to generate from the mosaic lines. If your other grays are close to this color, they may be scent stained. The baby looks gray in this picture, but you had some pictures on your site last week that made the babies look champagne. This picture does not show the baby's face, which is very creamy colored.

Wat makes the mother look Champagne, GizmosGal? Are yo saying she is a scent stained champagne? I'd doubt that very much with the red showing in her. Even Laura says that the father is the champagne, not the mother.
Do you have a pic of the father, Laura? If he is the one that passed along the possible champagne color, I'd like to see him and yes, more pics of baby might help too.
I don't want to say on the baby since I am not experienced in color breeding. However, your momma doesn't look like a standard grey to me.
She definitely looks to have some red in her. To me she doesn't not look as red as the cinnies I have seen. She looks very much like my Kirby who is a buttercream. Let me see if I can attach a picture that shows the coloring in his face. He's the one on top "kissing" Tanooki. The pictures don't do him a lot of justice but his face is a lot more yellowish and his body has a more yellow tinge overall.
