I found these Birdie bagels on Ebay. They are like the inside of a tape roll, but they are friut flavored! I thought they were pretty cool. I mean, these are rings, but yet they can chew on them, and put them on ther tell! I am just wondering if they are ok for a Sugar glider to play with?

I have never seen nor heard of them before. I am sure others will be more familiar with them and will be along shortly to give their opinion on them.

I haven't any experience with them either but I am very caucious about anything they might eat that could cause impaction. I let my gliders play with paper things (tp rolls, etc) only during tent time where I can make sure they are not eating them.

Judge not until you have walked in their shoes and lived their lives. What you see online is only part of the story.

They look like they're made of cardboard possibly. I had a glider die from an obstruction that was due either to a mistake during his neutering, or ingesting something that for the life of me I can't find any evidence of. Regardless, if they eat paper it can cause an impaction. My baby boy was in tremendous pain when he was dying and I had to sign to have him put down. I won't let them have anything they could conceivably ingest that isn't food. Period. I NEVER want to go through that again! So I guess I'd say they'd probably love it, but it's one of those things where I think risk outweighs benefit.

My parrot loves those... but I don't think I'd feel safe giving them to gliders.

Ok, thanks you guys. It looks like I wont be getting these for my baby. I wouldn't want anything to happend to him. I just have heard that sugar gliders could play with toilet paper rolls and I thought maybe they could play with these. But I don't want to chance anything happening to my suggie.

Oh, and no prob butlerfamilyzoo, I pretty sure your birds would love them if they like to rip things apart, lol. And if they are like any normal bird, I'm sure they do,lol.
