Well I posted yesterday that my Leudo & Rahja's first baby was sick. The lady I sold him to called me yesterday to ask what to do, she was at the vet when I called back 20 minutes later.

Unfortunatly, Ember did not make it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/gliderangel.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/upset.gif" alt="" />
The vet said that he was very healthy but that it looked like he'd had a seizure because the inside of his mouth was bitten. Does anyone know what could have caused this? They wont do a necropsy, I don't know why, so I guess I just want some general info in case it's something that can be prevented.
He was in perfect health the whole time he was alive until whatever caused his death. Please give me a clue as to what might have caused this! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/needhug.gif" alt="" />

So sorry to hear this news. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hug2.gif" alt="" />

Sorry, but without a necropsy done it would be impossible to tell why this happened and the cause. And it may even be save to say even with a necropsy the answer may not have been found.
There is so little known about these guys as of now, but more and more is being learned.

I am going to move this over to real stories now.

Once again, sorry.

If you want to know what a person is like, watch how he treats others.

You'll never know what the outcome is if you don't step up and try.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your little one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" />. I'm sure the lady who adopted him is heart-broken.
I wish I had some kind of answer for you, but I don't. I've never experienced anything like that...

I am so sorry to hear that the little one did not survive.

Most babies do well when they go to a new home. However, a few will become stressed which can lead to illness which is usually from a bacterial overgrowth. If change of behavior is unnoticed by the new owner...the glider usually dies from a seconday cause which is usually from dehydration to lack of calcium asorbtion which could have caused the little one to have seizure activity.

Sending prayers that all hearts will heal with time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hug2.gif" alt="" />
