If you have a female WFB and a gray male, what are the chances of having WFB joeys compared to IF the male is a WFB and the female is a gray?

Hope this makes sense!

I don't know the answer, but I happen to have a wf female and either a grey or a mosaic is the dad, so I am dying to see what it comes out!!! lol

The joeys would have a 60% chance of being wf.

Stacie, if my Phoebe pops out a mosaic, one of your boys is the daddy (from Leyna.) They were together before she came here. Most likely Bandit is the dad, but since she 'held' the pregnancy based on the joeys size, anyone of them could be. If one of the mosaics is the dad, and Phoebe is a 2.5 gen wf, what would the joey be? Would it automatically be a mosaic, or is there such a thing as a wf mosaic? Not that it matters, I love it already, even if it comes out green! lol

Mary, if the father is an actual mosaic, that would mean that Leyna has a non-sterile mosaic male. So if Phoebe pops out a mosaic, Leyna would have proven one of her males that are thought to be sterile. If the father is indeed a mosaic, the joey would have about a 50% chance of being mosaic. A mosaic joey would be very exciting for you and Leyna! That would be awesome! However, mosaics do not always produce mosaics. And yes, there is such a thing as a wf mosaic. They are 2 different genes but can both be displayed at the same time, just like a wf/wt.

Sugarblossoms, I am not a WFB expert by any means but to the best of my knowledge, that gene is not sex-linked...so I don't think it would make any difference if the female is WFB and the male is CG vs. a CG female x a WFB male.

Lol, Mary, the Mosaics that Phoebe were with weren't from Stacy, they were from Priscilla Price. They both have bald spots, but very small scrotums... So, their ability to produce is questionable.

As for the WF question... The WFB gene is not sex-linked, so regardless of what the pairing is WF male/gray female or gray male/WF female, your chances are the same.

If it's helpful information, my Chuckha is in a colony of gray gliders and he is a wfb. Out of the 5 joeys he has fathered, two of them were white face and the rest were gray.
