sounds like the girlfriend may be the main caregiver even though you each spend the same amount of time with her. I would suggest that you wear a fleece blankie around with you for a few days and make it smell real good and leave that in her pouch. make sure you are carrying her any time you can. She will come around. Your girlfriend just may have the more calming voice and touch right now.

Gliders are probably like any other animal, in the sense that they pick their human. It may just be a personality thing - but that doesn't mean you should give up. As Petty said - try the fleece blanket trick - and keep swapping it out so they always have one that smells like you. Also, pay attention to the way she handles the glider. I know that my boyfriend is awesome with animals, but I had to show him the right way to pick them up - mine don't mind me picking them up at all, but would panic when he did. And it was because he was picking them up a tiny bit different than I did. So pay attention to all her interactions and try to mimic them.

Ryan, My two are the same way. Gliders usually bond with one person, although they can be equally comfortable with more than one. If you put Tink on any other person, she just jumps back to me. Flurry on the other hand is very easy going and hasn't developed the jump back to mom reflex, but hopefully in time he will. I like my gliders better that way, it makes me feel special But the more time you spend with her, the better it will get!
