I have Sassy in my bra right now and I just heard her singing. I believe she still has a month to go so this just got me curious.

Thanks

Check this post out Dayla, this is what I heard Sassy doing in my bra today. I also checked it out on another sound page just to be sure. post

[:"green"]The sound you're referring to is generally referred to as chittering, I think. They usually start to make it at about 2 - 3 months o.o.p. Of course, that is just an average... Every glider develops differently. It is a wonderful sound that means they are content and happy. It reminds me of a cat's purr.
Congratulations on your happy glider!

I read the other thread after posting on this one. I believe I have heard mine doing this but most of the responses where about babies. My twins are about 8 months oop.

I'm sorry I guess I didn't make myself clear. Sassy is a bra baby and has been for the last two years. Recently she has become pregnant and I heard her sing today. I was just curious as to how far along they were in their pregnancy before they started to sing to their babies.

Carrie -- my little girls usually don't start singing until they're closer to having the little ones OOP (like a week or so to go). Sassy must be very happy about her little one(s)!!

What does singing sound like? In another post someone said the "chattering" noise was singing. I am confused once again!

My Mimi has a baby in her pouch and I am not sure how long till oop but ever since she got pregnant she has become nicer and doents snap anymore and lets me carry her but I don't think that I have heard that noise but I have heard what seems like a happy noise that she has been making since she had the baby.

You guys talk about singing gliders & I can't for the life of me imagine what it sounds like! All I keep hearing in my head is the Magwai from Gremlins doing his little "singy" thing!

It's the sweetest sound ever, isn't it? It's sort of a coo and chirping. It's hard to discribe. It's very unique and trust me, you'll know when you hear it. Lilo used to start her singing about a month before the babies came OOP. Sprocket usually keeps quiet until the baby is closer to coming OOP.
