I have a galvanized cage that my glider came with, a few questions. How does it cause uti? and is there anyway to make it safe? i cant afford a new cage. thanks

My vet told me to wipe with vingar and water and it will reduce the zinc in the wire.

I suggest scrubbing the cage very well to remove any loose peices of the zink. I also suggest trying to get new cages. My gliders were in a galvanized cage for quite a long time and thankfully I didn't have problems but it was a constant worry. It just isn't worth the risk to their health.
