Ah, the omnipresent Drosophila. Insect pest sticky traps hung outside of the cage and far beyond the gliders' reach works well. Making sure you empty the foodbowls every morning of any leftovers and picking up off the cage floor or tray any peices of discarded fruit would also help alleviate your fruit fly problem. Those Dipterans can find the smallest peices of fruit to lay their eggs on so make sure to scour the floor and cage furnishings carefully. The advantage of using a "glider kitchen" ensures that all food are contained and can be removed in the morning for disposal, so I'd recommend making a glider kitchen and using it to feed your gliders. Also, making sure all fruit and sweeter vegetables are covered within the house and are not in the open would help a lot.
Best of luck.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot to mention that I also have found success at using these home-made biological traps.
I basically take small open wooden boxes (like those wooden pencil cases) and glue-gun a mesh screen (approx 2-3 mm holes) on the open side of the box. Then I drill a 2cm opening in the wood, throw in a small house spider (funnel weavers work best; those are those quick spiders with thick fabric softer-like webs with a tunnel at one end where the spiders wait). For bait I use a piece of fruit tied to string and I simply place the fruit inside the box with the spider, allowing the string to hang out of the 2 cm hole for easy removal. Then you plug the 2 cm hole with a cotton swab, and PRESTO... you have a trap. Store the spider away somewhere like in the garage for a day or two to allow the spider to construct a web and to allow the fruit to become smellier for the fruit flies (if you used a small peice of fruit the smell is usually not noticeable to humans). The spider will create a thick web around the small peice of rotting fruit and the flies will not be able to help themselves. All you need to do is moisten the cotton swab every few days and replace the fruit when it has completely dried out or begun to get moldy by pulling the string and using the cotton swab to make sure you aren't pulling the spider out with it. The idea is to keep the fruit slightly rotting to attract the flies. These small boxes can be decorated and several of them can be hung around the house or next to the cage. I've used them with bearded dragons, iguanas, and fruit-loving birds (I place the traps directly in the enclosures in a corner where they aren't bothered). I even found they worked well at keeping fruit flies away while I was rearing several fruit-loving colonies of ants that I was housing in glass-less open confinements (i.e. moated islands).
Anyway, when catching the spiders, try looking for females because they work best. Males have two large bulbous reproductive organs at their face called emboli (females lack these) and the reason males don't do as well as females for traps is because at a certain age the males will abondon their web-making to seek out females, at which point many times they cease feeding. If you're unsure as to the sex, just replace the spiders when they have stopped growing for 4 months or so. Remember to use one spider per box because spiders have canibalistic tendencies.
LOL. Completely chemical free and natural... and fun if you're not grossed out by that kind of thing. Plus, it's an example of a biological mutualistic relationship between humans and animals, in this case spiders.

To get rid of fruit flies put some vinegar in a dish and put a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap in it and set it near the problem. The flies are attracted to the vinegar and the soap breaks the barrier on top so when the flies land to get a drink they sink and drown.

I also pour some bleach down my drains as they like to breed there. I have done the vinegar and dish soap thing and also put some veggies and fruit from the day's feeding in a ziploc bag overnight, the fruitflies are attracted to the food go inside the bag and in the morning all you have to do is close the bag and throw it out.

We use a thing we get from Walmart... Hot Shot No-pest Strips we put them in the room where our glider cages are adn that is how we get rid of them becuase they like that more then they like anything else.. Just keep it where glider can't get to it...
