so Ive been working on tent time. Its going great except for the fact that she stays on my back the whole time and I cant get her off! Shes very friendly when she is in her cage or when im petting her while she is sleeping. When we get in the tent she spazes!! I dont understand it. I brogught in her toys and wheel and some treats. It took me a long time to try and coax her to go into her pouch. This makes me very nervous to let her out into a room. I know i wont for awhile but ANY SUGGESTIONS?! pleez help..thanks

She is staying on your back because she feels it to be her safety zone in a new area right now. Just continue to do what you are doing. Take her in there and if that is where she wants to be let her stay there.
Do you have a blanket or sheet or something on the floor of the tent? Some gliders get frightened by the rustling sound of the floor and will freeze. Just take a book or something in there with you for you to do, and kind of ignore her. The curiosity will eventually get the best of her.
and once it does!!!! how much fun it will be!

My gliders did the "let's hide on mom's back" thing too. So I started laying down! I take in a pillow and just stretch out. After once or twice, they realized the front side is safe too.

Judge not until you have walked in their shoes and lived their lives. What you see online is only part of the story.

Ya mine do that also. Your back is the safe part to them. Most gliders can be terrified of hands and they know they aren't back there. Also the plastic bottom is usually very scary for the little guys. Lie down some sheets or something to dampen the noise. I would also put my back to the side of the tend to coax them away from your back. I take treats in with me also and that helps direct them where you want them to go.
