You are invited to LuckyGlider's Get-Together and BBQ in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If you live in the Las Vegas area, or will be visiting at the time and would like to meet other sugar glider lovers - you are in "Luck." Come join us for an afternoon of fun and eats and glider-lover conversation. This is a free event.

WHEN: Noon to Six PM on Sunday, September 16, 2007

WHAT: Food, Soft drinks and friendly discussion.

WHO: You do not have to be a glider owner to come and enjoy this event. If you are still researching what sugar gliders are all about, this is a great opportunity to meet with people who have a lot of experience. If you are not an adult, you must bring your parents or guardian. Parents you are free to bring your children.

WHY: This is simply a get-together so people in Las Vegas can establish a local network and support group for glider owners and enthusiasts. Some topics of discussion will be: babysitting; where to get gliders; rescues; diet; bonding and behavior; health and husbandry practices. We encourage you to bring photos and stories, but we do not recommend bringing your pets because they may be exposed to other pets and unknowingly catch or pass-on an illness.

Hey, what about a UT get together soon??? I have a super small condo so can't offer my place, but would be more than happy to help out with any planning, food, etc! And actually if no one can offer a place to hold it, my mom's house would work great, it's just kind of in the boonies aka West Jordan . Anyone in UT down for something like that?

I am in North Salt Lake and would love to know who else is here from the area.

It's about time we had another get together. I also have a very small place, plus this time of year the drive is hazardous (it's snowing now), but would be happy to attend one!

I am in favor of some sort of get together and would love to attend, although I am not yet a glider owner, just a wanabe. I live in Kearns, UT, just another part of SLC. I live around 5400S.

I'm in a mini 2bd house me and my hubby are renting so I cannot offer a place to hold anything, sorry.

Also, I was thinking, maybe make a list of all utah people and the area they live in.

I could host something, my house is pretty decent sized and I can seat about 20 between the table, bar stools and sectional couch. Plus I live in North Salt Lake so I'm sort of in the middle of Sunset and Kearns.

I think it would be a great idea to have a get together. I could maybe have it at my home which is in West Jordan. Let me know what everyone thinks

I am in favor. lol, even though it seems to be few and far between on the posts here.

Try a post in the special events forum. That's usually where these are planned. I'm in favor, but it clutters the roll call, and people don't usually look for these here.
