I bought some bubbles and a small rubber ball at Wal-Mart today. Do gliders like to play with balls or maybe like bubble blowing? I thought it sounded like fun.

I was wondering about bubbles too, but I was afraid that when the bubbles pop the soap would hurt their eyes.

I don't know about the rubber balls. It depends on if it's something they could chew up and choke on. As for the bubbles, there have been a few members that have tried this and say it did cause their eyes to get irritated. Someone suggested once that if you are going to blow bubbles for them to try making bubble soap out of tearless baby shampoo instead of regular bubble soap. (sorry I can't remember who suggested that)

Bubbles are one of my kids favorites! They absolutely love bubbles! I've never had a problem with the bubbles irritating their eyes, but then I don't blow them all that close to them either. We use them out of cage and I blow them where the bubbles are close enough for them to try and "catch" them, but not close enough that they would pop in their faces. It is a riot to watch them stretching and reaching out trying to get them.
As for rubber balls, the hard rubber should be fine for them. Mine don't like balls, not even the hard plastic cat balls. They love yarn balls, but I don't like leaving them in the cage because they shred them up and I worry about fine, tiny little pieces of yarn getting stuck in thier teeth or mouths.

I've never seen or heard of the candy bubbles, where did you get them? That sounds like a good idea!

either I dreamed it or it exists (sometimes my grip on reality isn't great - lol) but I believe they also have bubbles for dogs/cats that might be meat flavored at stores like petsmart
