my daughter has had her glider, Stichy (a male) for 6 months sine he was about6 months old.. He's so well behaved. we took on 2 more from a friend. They're 2 females who we've named Kiah and Sydney. They live in another cage next to Stichy, within reaching distance. The 3 spend alot of time talking. Can they be kept together? WHat do I need to do to make the transition easier? I've been Hooked!

Is Stichy neutered? Are the 2 females sisters? If there will be babies involved, you may have a danger of baby stealing if the girls are not sisters. I don't have any direct experience in this, but have researched it a lot as I had planned to have a colony at one point. If Stichy IS neutered OR if the girls ARE sisters, I would start by swapping pouches and bonding blankies. This will help them get used to eachother's smell. You've already had them in close proximity, so they are aware of eachother, I'd be careful about how close their cages are until they are properly introduced. After a couple weeks of swapping pouches, etc.. You can take them in a neutral territory (one that doesn't smell like any of them). A lot of people choose a bath tub lined with a blanket. I would only intro 2 at a time so it's easier to separate fights, if there are any. You may also try running a bit of vanilla extract down each of their backs before the intro so that they both smell the same. Keep in mind that even if the girls are sisters, you may still have trouble with baby stealing & ultimately may have to have Stichy neutered. Hopefully this helps some & someone with trio experience will post shortly!

You may want to change the title of your post to "Trios?" - to get more responses from people who have them.

Welcome to GliderCENTRAL! I am going to move this post to bonding and Relations. I know you will get alot of responses there. The advice you have been given so far is really good.
