I have had many people ask, and have seen posts in the past, requesting some type of bonding pouch that they could wear in a crowd and not worry if they get bumped or pushed. Or support for when doing things around the house. And, needing a waterproof base for their bonding pouch.

Well it came to me the other day. Just use a cheap Tupperware type container. I bought my at the store. Pick on to fit the pouch you already have, does NOT have to be a Sissy Pouch, cut a hole in what you want to be the top and either smooth edges with a little heat (quick swipes of a lighter) or sandpaper. Now, if you have a pouch with ventilation in it, just cut another hole. Leave the lid on for support. Check out the pictures, I have a 18.6 oz full soup can on this Sissy, and it doesn't even dent it. Now, add some fleece scraps to add comfort. Not only do you now have support, but also a waterproof base, slips in and out of the pouch. When it gets dirty just wash the container.

Can I say how tickled I was with this idea. LOL. I don't know why someone didn't think of it already. And if someone has posted about it, sorry, I must have missed that post. Check out the pictures. And take your pouches to the store next time you go

Thanks Karen and LCG, I tried it out the other day and it really works well. It's not often I feel like I need any support, but if I ever do, now I know.

I really like that it will keep the pouch clean to, less washing now. But theres no hiding the container under your shirt.

Ok so i usually pride myself in being imaginative but...i dont get it. do you cut a hole in all the sides, the top, and the bottom so you essentially have a rept frame left?? and if so then how do you stand soup on that. or is one side plastic still? in which case how comfy is that?? or is i JUST the lid as it appears in the very first photo? help!?

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I know it's hard to understand with the pictures, I am horrible with pictures.

OK, it's just a regular left over container. I cut a hole in one of the sides, but it could be top bottom whatever works best for the pouch you are using, and one in the lid. I left the lid on, and it gave it the support. I didn't do anything to support it more than the maker did.

So I only cut two holes, that means all the other sides are still intact.

As for comfy, I think with a few fleece blankets it's as comfy as a nest box or any solid surface bed.

I wouldn't use it daily myself. But it's just an option for those asking for a bonding pouch with solid sides (for when they are in crowds or for whatever they want). I myself have never needed a bonding pouch with hard sides, nor do I make one. But it has been asked for many times.

Oh, in the first photo, the bear has his legs through the lid hole, and his upper body is sticking out of the one other hole I made.

I hope that helps. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
