Howdy everyone!

Today was a major sugar shopping day & one of the things I purchased is a new reptarium www.lllreptile.com (the 38 gallon)... oooh the internet is dangerous!

It's possible we might have to go to Tennessee (darn!) over Easter weekend & we plan on using this to travel with, both in the car & in the hotel.

Anyhoo- I've never really used a reptarium before so I'm not exactly sure how they work. My question is how do they open? Is there a little door or does a side zip off? I can't really tell from the picture.

Mods- sorry if this should've been under travel but I had a great internal debate & eventually chose housing!

I have 2 of the 260 gal ones. They do unzip at the top, all down one side, and bottom. Not sure about the small one.

After reading your post i am thinking of buying one for when i may want to travel but i was wondering if there is a tray or something you put in the bottom? How do you clean up the feces and what not? Sorry I couldnt help with your questions I just discovered these thingys also.

No worries! I didn't even think about a drop tray... good question!

Nihm- I've been putzing around in housing and I just read that you can attach things with zip/cable ties & someone also said they use the shower curtain rings.

Since I haven't gotten mine yet I don't know which would work the best though... I'll find out soon!

Also- in my reading I found that the minimum cage height is 3 ft, the reptarium I bought is 30" tall. Is this ok for Friday-Monday? We're bringing the tent for them to play in so hopefully this will offset the shortness! (sounds weird!)

Hey, I'd say yours is fine. Mines only a 65G, I think it's about 30". It's only for a few days, that's what I figure, you know?

I like the shower ring idea. I think I'll go buy the skinny metal ones to make hooking stuff on easier.

How do you keep them clean since there is no tray in the bottom?

I used keyrings on the poles to hook stuff up. I had some leftover wire from Klubertanz and made some shelves to fit over the poles. They worked great! As for the bottom of the reptarium, I used some puppy pads to catch any droppings. The puppy pads were put on the floor first and I placed the reptarium on top of the puppy pads. The reptarium shell can be washed in a washing machine and let hang to dry.

I went and got key rings as well, the plastic shower curtian things were too big! I'll probably just use a towel and blanket under the cage.
