Some parents LOVE to overscent their babies haha.

But it is probably because baby gliders "skunk" when they are scared. Smells just like a skunk haha. Its like a defense mechanism. And let me tell you, I agree, it sure does smell!

The smell was sooo bad it made my stomach turn ! Can you use the glider dry shampoo on them?

I don't know that I would. The parents know their babies by scent. I don't know how the parents would react if their joeys suddenly smelled different. Other input???

Judge not until you have walked in their shoes and lived their lives. What you see online is only part of the story.

I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

I wouldn't use anything to make them smell different. As they get used to you, they will skunk less because they won't be as scared . Good luck to ya!

Yup. lol. It's kind of hilarious really.. and I would laugh if SKUNK wasn't like.. my all time least favorite smell ever. lol. Eeeeeeeew!! lol. The wee newborns though.. just don't know that you're not going to eat them.. so they want to scare you off. lol. Don't worry.. a week from now, or so.. they won't do it to you anymore. lol. Good Luck with them, and Congrats on the New Babes!! Luv Ames!!

hehe.. oh yes.. they are just perfectly normal and smelly.. not a THING to worry about. I just got 'Skunked' by my new sweeties tonight.. (I have two day old boy/girl twins..) and it doesn't matter how many babies you have.. or how many times you've been through this, and know how to handle them.. a majority of them.. will STILL skunk you to try and scare you off. lol. It's kind of endearing though, I think. hehe. lol.

Hey... hehee.. Why didn't I think of that..?!?! lol. It would be awesome to meet your new grandjoeys sometime.. It's nice to have a glider person so close to home. lolol. Let me know when you think you might wanna.. and we'll work something out.. (my schedule is always SO strange, lol, but I know it's possible.. hehe, lol). Luv Ames!!
