You mean his testicles? This is very normal. When they are relaxed, their testicles or "pom pom" will hang from what seems to be a thread.

no that is not how it should look...it should be right against his belly with no leanght in between.

does it look scratched or torn? have you seen him cleaning it? how long has it been that way? how old is he?

I would take him to the vet...

He is 7 months. Today is the first time it was like that he was in a pouch next to my body it was very hot in there all day but I think he likes it hot. Not scratched or torn. Yes he cleaned one time today.

It is normal, It has something to do with temp. Don't worry.

Quest, you're wrong... it's completely normal. It has to do with temperature or how relaxed he's feeling.

Young gliders are known to have their pom poms close to their body... their testicles haven't dropped yet. As they hit sexual maturity (which your boy is right on schedule), you will notice that his testicle will at times look like they are hanging very low, as you said.. look like they are hanging from a thread.

You will notice this more when hes sleeping in his pouch. The warmth has alot to do with how far his testicles move away from his body. If he gets colder, his testicles will start to look more "normal", close to his body.

Everything is normal, nothing to worry about! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

I'd be afraid I'd close them in the door or something.

Which is why I like my neutered guy very much. At least when he's not eating my foot. The pom pom looks very odd when they're warm and relaxed.

thanks this thread helped me too! bailey's little pom poms were hanging and then they got sucked back up to position after I pulled him out of the pouch. I had thought he was self-mutilating- Glad I found this thread!

So funny, I thought I was the only one that freaked out when I saw my Rocky's poms hanging very low.
