Hi guys, I'm new to the sugar glider thing (I have two) and they are warming up to me. One is a little stubbord and crabs A LOT, but doesn't try to bite often anymore. The second one is a total sweetheart and loves to climb over me, down my shirt, or will just jump out of her pouch and run all over me.

I was wondering, how exactly do play with a sugar glider. I've heard about hide and seek, but I thought that you shouldn't let them run freely around the house. I also know that because of their small size.... one bad accident in playing could kill the gliders. How do I get them to pay? Any particular games gliders like?

my gliders love to play 'hop' when i go walking at night with someone. we walk along with gliders on our shoulders and they hop back and forth between us, it's a bit of a challenge because we're both moving and we try to challenge them by moving back farther or speeding up and slowing down. they have a blast, but you should probably wait to do this until your gliders are fully bonded and you know them well enough to know if they will stay with you outside without some kind of restriction.

Mine go after anything that moves. They love to chase strips of fleece, feathers or ribbons tied to a stick, a bouncing super ball, finger puppets etc.

Mine like raffia. Its a natural fiber that looks kind of like a string or strip of paper. You can get it in a craft store. Wal mart might even have it and its cheap. Get natural color and not dyed. They should be supervised, they can get tangled up in it.

I have one of those furry mice, without catnip. And my guy loves it. I only let him play with it when I'm right there. He goes crazy for it!

Lorelai and Rory thank you for the suggestions, I'm going to try a few of them with my two little balls of excitement.
