I have many animals but for the most part they don't interact with each other. I am just not willing to risk "natural instincts" from kicking in and having one get hurt. Like Quest said, I wouldn't turn my back on them.

I recently got a kitten after having suggies for a while. I don't allow interaction when I am not present. The cat can't go in the "glider room" if I am not there. But sometimes I will let them explore one another a little bit and they seem curious but unsure. One glider even jumped once and landed on the cat's face. My kitty doesn't seem to know what to make of them. She is curious but just seems to want to sniff them and try to play with them a little. She even got into one of the cages once and Emma came out to eat (I was there) and all Amelia did was watch her and sniff at her a little. But no I would never turn my back on them.

I have several cats and had them before gliders. At first, they were all overly interested in the cages (but they're like that whenever there's anything new). They spent much time sitting near them and watching the new creatures inside and even made a few pounces at the cage. But now after about 2 months, they all completely ignore the gliders. They've gotten bored with them since they figured out they couldn't get at them.
However, when I have the cage open and the gliders out, then I make sure the cats are locked out of the room. I would never trust any of the cats around the gliders out of the cage.
As long as you have a nice secure "cat-proof" cage and don't let the cat near when the glider is out, then you should be just fine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />
