Well now that all 6 of my gliders are grown, it is too hard to carry them all day. I am not supposed to have them at work, and if they make any noise i will get in trouble. Seeing how there is 6 of them its almost impossible to go 8 hrs without a hiss or something. So I have left them at home during the day. I go home and let them out about 2 1/2 hrs at night then I take them w/ me out to my class. I have left them at home overnight alone a few times when I stay w/ my b/f. He is getting me a cage this weekend so they can stay w/ me at his place. But I feel like my bond is breaking w/ them. they are used to being on me 24/7, and I spend a lot of time w/ them, but I cant take them to work anymore. Please help me, what can I do, I hate to see them suffer.

Is it possible to only take two at a time with you to work and rotate work days so that they each get a turn to be with you all day? This way there is less a chance of them making noise during the day. Just a suggestion. Hope everything works out with you and your suggies. R u positive the bond is breaking bc it sounds to me that you still are doing a good job playing with them and spending a good amount of time with them at night. What signs are there that you feel they arent as bonded to you anymore?

I have thought of taking 2 at a time i might start doing that. I dont knwo how that will affect the 2 left at home though. I can just tell by their changes in temper so to speak they are confused a bit or out of habit, and i feel so bad about that.

I worry that taking them to your boyfriends would stress them out. Some gliders don't handle change very well and everytime you take them over there they would have to get reaquainted w/ the sounds and smells of a new place. I think as long as you keep playing w/them and carrying them w/you when you can will keep the bond strong. If it's possible maybe you could try to play w/them for an extra hour or so.

Also they may just be a little confused since their schedule changed. I don't think it will break the bond. It will just take them a little time to get used to the change. I also agree with Candy's suggestion of spending a little extra play time with them if you can.
