Lately Syd wont stay in the pouch. I usually keep her w/ me 24/7. She used to fight the pouch when she was my only glider, but when I got a mate that was fixed. Now I have 6 and I put 2 in 1 pouch and 4 in the other, and syd just wont stay.
In the morn they are all asleep in the pouch but as soon as i close it she fights it for hours...
please any help is appreciated. I havent been able to take her w/ me b/c she fights to get out so much she bothers the others and they make noise, I feel so terrible about leavin g them at home all day

Try putting her in her own pouch or in with just 1 buddy - sometimes they just need space. Certain days Zoe just WILL NOT sleep with Fawkes. Maybe it's PMS, maybe it's leg cramps - who knows! I just let them take up as many pouches as they want! Sometimes they each have their own! Sometimes, Monster wants to be in her pouch - but only if it's unzipped! She doesn't try to come out at all - she just wants the extra air. They're picky lil critters, just humor her a little. let her have her own pouch with air conditioning & see if it helps!

Mine sleep separate alot. The male always wants the pouch with the cable hookup so he can watch ESPN. The female wants to watch her stories. Sometimes they just need their own space and their own remote control.

My little Harriet won't stand for a closed pouch, either. Maybe it's a girl-thing.

She'll wrestle all around until I unzipper the pouch. She'll stick her head out, look around, decide she can leave when she wants and go back in and go to sleep.

I have one that only fights the pouch when it is time to wake up and come out to play. I had her at church with me once and she wanted to come out so I let her and she crawled between me and the pouch after a while and just hung out there.

I also have two who hate being in a pouch (although I have not yet tried a pouch with a window) but I have found that they prefer to have the freedom of running around in my shirt. They will stay in my shirt only poking out occasionally to see what's going on.

Hope you figure it out!

If you are able to, try a nest box. A wooden one is best. We had colonies of gliders and they were a lot more comfortable in a nestbox than in a pouch. They would take toys, feathers and fake leaves in there with them and build a little nest. It was cute We did have one glider however who prefered the small woven bird baskets you get at pet stores fairly cheap. She liked them so much that she would go nuts if another glider even went over to look at it as if to say "Back off, it's mine" LOL.
