that I have to tell everyone my oldest female, mother to many fine babies, Myra passed away this morning. I had just come back from the Dr and found her. She had not been gone long.

Because she was seperated from her family for round the clock care I am wondering if I should allow Myron and the girls to see her? Would they know she was gone?

I can't see to type anymore. I will post more later.

Edited to add:

I am waiting for a sunny day to bury her with Rocky.

Myron, Pearl, and MaryAnne seem to be taking it well. Better than I did in fact.

Thanks everyone.

I am so very sorry for you and your other gliders. Myra <img border="0" alt="angel" title="" src="graemlins/frostyangel.gif" /> will live on through her many babies and your many memories.

Please accept my condolences,
Dorothy <img border="0" alt="cry" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> , Bandit <img border="0" alt="glider" title="" src="graemlins/littleglider.gif" /> , and Gypsy <img border="0" alt="glider" title="" src="graemlins/littleglider.gif" />

Elwin, I am so sorry to hear about Myra. I know how much you loved her and what you went thru with her. I would place her in there with her family for a little while before burying her. They will then know that she is gone. I did that with my Georgi when he passed, let his mate say her goodbyes and understand he is gone, not just missing from the cage. I don't know if it really helps, but I think they understand death, versus just all of a sudden gone. Please accept my condolences in this hard time.

I am so sorry for your loss <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> . I'm glad you have a little part of her with you that you can touch & hold in your hands (her babies <img border="0" alt="heart" title="" src="graemlins/heartpump.gif" /> ) Give them lots love to help them through this, & they will help you.
Take care
