ok i'll go get some pumpkin. She's been running in her wheel almost non stop. I just checked in on her again. She was licking that area and it's not sticking out anymore. In fact i cant even really see her cloaca. But she's still running. My regular vet's closed. The emergery vet is going to call me in a bit...they are too far away for me to get there.

About a hour-hour and a half ago. She really struggled to produce it...like 3 little poops. She didn't stop trying after. She's in her sissy with me (she chose to sleep on me over being in the cage with jasmine)...she seems to be avoiding jasmine. I think she's finally settling down. I'm going to go get some pumpkin right now.

Ok guys. I bought an orange; watermelon; apple sauce; apple juice and canned pure pumpkin. She is sleeping right now so I doubt she'll want to eat. Should I encourage her to or is it ok if she waits till tonight (their dinner time) to eat this stuff?

Ok. So I got them both to drink a bit of apple juice diluted with water. What do you guys think? Should I be worried about Chloe? Should I get her to eat some pumpkin or any of the other things I bought? I will give them both some of everything tonight...should I be worried meanwhile?

I've recently had a glider with a similar issue-the veggie oil won't hurt her, just don't overdo it. In fact, my vet okayed it for mine. As long as her tummy isn't bloating and she's not in pain (symptoms of a blockage), keep pushing fluids, wake her up periodically to offer what you got, and keep an eye on her. I would also not offer meats or eggs, and go light on veggies, for a day or two-since those can make the problem worse...offer more watery fruits-canteloupe, grapes, honeydew, papaya, watermelon. Watery gliderade is a good choice also.

Ok thanks. I offered her everything and she's just not interested in eating. I put a dish of food in their cage; in case I put her back in there in a bit. She's sleeping in my hoodie. She seems wary of being in her cage for some reason and every time I put her back in there she runs in her wheel; falls asleep in it; and then wakes up and keeps running. Why is she running in her wheel in the middle of the day? She typically hates the light.

Have you added anything new to her cage? It sounds like something is worrying her. I still feel that if she hasn't poopied yet, she is uncomfortable (just like we would be) and can not relax. Does her stomach feel normal? ie..not hard or bloated looking... I hope things will start moving for her soon. Sending lots of hugs and prayers.

nope; nothing new. I feel like she was worried that jasmine would think something is wrong with her. She pooped a little bit about a hour ago..it was very dry. I also gave her some more apple juice. She seems to be a lot calmer now; maybe she's just tired from being up half the day and running about like a little maniac; but it definitely makes me feel a little better. I have them both in their sissy pouch sleeping. I'll keep an eye on them. Thanks so much for you help guys I really appreciate it.

they are on Priscilla's price's diet. I'm pretty sure that's not the problem though...I think it was from the water bottle malfunction I mentioned earlier. Anyways thanks so much for your help guys...I don't know what I'd do without this forum. The vets are here (even the ones the specialize in small animals) really don't seem to know anything about caring for sugar gliders.

How is she doing? Make sure and keep her hydrated-you can also offer a variety of liquids in dishes (fruit nectar, apple juice, gliderade) to entice her to drink and stay hydrated for awhile.
