I use all plastic hardware cloth to build my cages. This works great unless you have a glider that chews. There is also pvc coated hardware cloth which is metal with plastic coating.

Nick I use the hardware cloth from Lowes or Home Depot. Its all plastic no metal at all. Works very well for cages. I use PVC pipe for the frame and build a full size door. I attach the hardware wire with cable ties. Makes a great cage, nice size, very light weight, and very easy to clean. I use the slim plastic trays that you can get at WalMart the ones for clothes to put under the bed. They work perfect for a cage liner for the bottom. Also very easy to clean. I've attached pictures of my cages, from frame, to hardware wire attaching to finished cage. I forgot to mention the hardware cloth I use is only about $12 for 3x15 feet. Plus the cage is all plastic! Not a thing is metal except for the eye hooks on the door which are stainless steel so nothing will ever rust!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My hubby and I are building a Cage because I am getting a Glider soon. We went to Lowes and got the Hardware Cloth for $9.99 for 2x15' You could get it in Green or Black.. Just thought I would post incase anyone needs to know. Melissa
KicksNJ that looks like a great setup. Could you give us a pricelist of the PVC tubing and tray? How much would you say one of those cages cost you to build? They look really nice, and big. What are the dimensions?
