Last night after my class I came home to try to give Chloe and Caesar their medicine. After giving finishing, I put them back in their cage and went to check on Snickers and Skittles. (Skittles joey should be out any time now.) I saw that Skittles had pulled some of her bedding out of her next box (a chin dust house.) I went to give her a treat and noticed that she was pulling the cloth wiht her. It was caught on her leg, I figured that I could reach right in and it could come off. But a string on the cloth was tightly wrapped around her foot and tail! Her foot was starting to swell. I paniced and went up stairs to call Shaun at work. He rush home and after a long struggle he got her free. Now she is safe and sound and was running on her wheel only a few hours after.

Just wanted to post this, to remind everyone to check you pouches and bedding clothes.

I am so very glad for you that your were able to catch this mishap in time. Thanks for the reminder about pouches and bedding material.

<img border="0" alt="wave" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" /> DolphinKelly...Oh, what a lucky break...This is one of everyone's biggest fears...I bought dust bath accessories from Serena of the Gliding Room...They work great in the bath house, and made with glider safety in mind...So happy to hear that everything worked out so well for you...What a relief...

Kellie...I am so glad you had the outcome you had. It can be so scary when thoes things happen. I also had a strange thing happen last night. When I got up this morning my gliders pouch was very wet. It was almost dripping. They have a joey just 2 days oop. So of course I paniced. I think what happen was I had the pouch to close to the water bottle and when I filled it that night I didn't get the lid on straight. Anyway I had so many blankets in with them that they put them on the bottom and were laying on top of the blankets and they were not wet..yet. It scared me to death. I'm sure glad I check on them all the time. LOL
