Anyone know the size of the beads that are safe for the gliders? I don't have my babies yet so I don't know how big their little mouths are. The 14mm beads look to small but I don't know... Help!! I am going to start making some toys this weekend.

I use standard pony beads and the larger "character" beads.

Where do you get them at? I found a website that sells them but I can't really tell the size. They sell them by 14mm, 22mm etc. Also, when you cut the plastic chains, I've seen people place a bead where the cut is. Is this a regular bead or something specific so the chain doesn't come off?? Thanks in advance.

I usually buy my pony beads at either Walmart or Hobby Lobby or Michaels Craft store. I have used regular pony beads where the plastic chain is cut and hot melt glued them in place. (non toxic glue sticks)

Here is a site that list many online companies as well.

Okay I got a bunch of supplies to make some toys, if you guys don't mind, can I see some pics of different stuff you have made for some ideas. I don't know if that is politically correct to ask. I have polyester ribbon, some cord from home depot and some nickel plated small chains to make stuff out of. I also bought plastic pacifiers, beads, wood stuff with the holes already drilled in, squares, circles and bells. 10 days and counting. I work until then - no days off. Hopefully work will keep my mind busy on other things besides them. Very hard to do. I'm even thinking of bringing some stuff in to make some toys, during small mental breaks. Thanks in advance you guys... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dance.gif" alt="" />
