Well I've been lax on the "entire" cage cleaning deal while Tink had joeys b/c I was afraid I'd freak them out if I did the whole cleaning shebang with tiny joeys around. I have just been wiping down, etc... Well I suppose it's time to do some real damage... and I just took the cage outside and my walls are DISGUSTING. I have Clorox wipes and got as much off as I could, but omg... Does anyone know what I can use to get this crud off my walls? It's like super glue! LOL... any help would be appreciated. Our house is on the market and if my 'rents see my walls, they will flip.

I usually just wet the spots pretty good and let it sit for a few minutes. Then I go back and wipe. It seems to come off pretty good that way. Usually by the time I get all the spots wet, I can go back to the beginning and it will come off pretty easy.

I have to do that too, but whatever doesn't come off after soaking, then just scrape it, it takes forever and it makes your fingers stiff after awhile, but it works.

If you have one of the steamers those work great. I take the steamer and hold it a few inches from the wall(hold it to close and it will leave a little burnt mark) and spray and scrap with a putty knife or a butter knife. It comes off really easy and quick.

It depends on the type of walls you have, I guess. But I spritz mine down with that Clorox 2 Spray and let set for about 5 minutes. Or, I VERY CAREFULLY use a little scraper (that kind that holds a one-sided very sharp razor blade), and I get underneath it (but that's only when I have been very bad and I have forgotten to do my daily clean-up)

Magic Sponge works great, but I think if your walls are painted a color it can actually take some of the color off too.

I agree with jezz - I use the Magic Eraser and noticed that if the crud is a little tougher to get off, then I have to be extra careful not to press too hard...some of my paint came off by doing this, but I highly recommend this Magic Eraser for absolutely EVERYTHING else you need to clean in your home!

I the magic eraser! Just don't push too hard. I've found that a cage cover has been a godsend. I made one out of fleece, it was easy even with my limited sewing skills good luck

I don't know how well it works with paint but it worked great on a bookshelf I had to clean up: Grease Lightning.

Painting sounds good - new texture for the walls
