Batavia is where I help my grandparents around the house, Elburn is where I live when school is out, Naperville is where school is, and Wheaton is where my bf lives and I stay in the guest room when my roomies are being stupid.

Lol, I'm not good at planning stuff. My life is crazy as it is. It would take a group effort. I know there were some members on another forum that were wanting to plan something, but it kinda died out. :\ Maybe this summer we can have something simple thrown together?

There is a Glider Group in Miami that meets roughly once a month. I'm not sure exactly what they do each time ... but it isn't a huge planned out thing like our get-togethers. More casual. I would love to be able to do something like that on a regular basis. Maybe get together for a pot-luck once a month or so?

I think I'm going to start that up ... if I ever get that motivated!

ValkyrieMome, where in IL are you? If you're nearby then maybe we could work together and figure something out. After goin to the ISS hubby thinks I should help plan a get together. Maybe if we had some monthly stuff then we could all work together to also plan an annual get together for everyone to come to.

My plan is ... as if I had a plan ... to have a perhaps-once-a-month meeting up - open to anyone and everyone who wants to join. During those meetings, us more "local" folk can also plan a larger gathering. Sound ok?

man.... If only I lived closer to Chicago... its a long haul for me. About 4 hours. Although I will be coming up that way in the next few weeks... hint hint Alden! lol

ROFL! I know I've asked you a gazillion times, I just have such terrible memory. Honestly, if I saw anyone from the ISS right now I wouldn't recognize them. I'm not the only one though, I saw something about it on the news once a few years ago(yeah, I can remember that though, right? lol).

So, Elgin? Why haven't we gotten together before now, eh? This isn't right! You know what, I could be wrong, but I think the Petco in Bloomingdale lets people have meetings in their meeting rooms for free. I saw a sign there once, I'll have to check again next time I go to Joann. If so, that would be a great place to meet for the first time until we can find somewhere better or choose a person's house. That way we won't have to burden someone with having to deep-clean their house just so we can come dirty it, haha.

Eh...I moved ALL the way out to the boonies in Sycamore (yes, we LOVE IT, lol)....but we can have a meet up here any time .
