Okay, in preparation for the upcoming SGGA, I need to figure out what size my travel cage should be for my 4. I did buy the extra large popup dog kennel, but I don't know how to customize it & I know that Lan can be a chewer,so I think I would like to buy a wire/flight/bird cage for the trip. They will be in the cage for 6 days. What size cage should I be looking for??
Thanks!!

I know that Glider Expressions customizes those. I don't use mine too often. When I do I just hook things onto the mesh. I haven't had any problems with it yet. If your glider chews though that could be a problem. I think it was Peggy who made the wooden travel cages that folded down. I don't know if she still makes them or not. http://www.demsondpetdepot.com/servlet/-strse-110/Breeding-Cage-30%22x18%22x40%22-With/Detail These cages fold down and put up really easy. I use zip ties with mine. That is a little pricey though. Maybe you could find it cheaper on ebay.

http://www.petco.com/product/104557/PETCO-Tear-Shaped-Parrot-Habitat.aspx#description Do you think this one would be too small for 4 suggies for 5 nights? I guess Wednesday - Monday is only 5 nights, not 6... I'm just so afraid that Lan would chew out of a rept or popup dog kennel - plus, I think one of my roomies is bringing her dog & I think I'd feel safer with a wire cage because of that, too.

When you say a chewer is that with toys or has he chewed through a rep before? My gliders will chew up plastic toys and such but none have put holes in their repts. From the measurements it sounds close to the size of a 65 gallon rep. Though it looks small from the picture, but if it's the size of a 65 gallon, I'd say it would be ok. One of the reviews says it's a large cage & not for the compact car.

Usha77, I too have the same question as you. I am going to pick my boys up tomorrow evening, but I didn't want to haul their "home" cage all the way back to Ooltewah from La Vergne, so I was trying to find something to keep them in over night if we decided to stay at my parent's. I did find a mesh laundry thing that I could use(just buy two, stack, and voila,a travel cage), but I'm not sure how that'll work.
