I was just wondering what is considered to be having too many toys in one cage? I have seen a lot of your cages and they all look super fun! I wanted to do something like some of yours as well, but don't know what is too much. I want my suggies to have lots of fun, but enough room to jump around.

Is there any rule of thumb as far as how many toys you should have in one cage or how much room you should have?

I agree with you that I like for there to be room to move around, so what I do is switch out their toys every week when I clean. I have about 3 different rotations so that way the don't get bored with what they have. That way their cage isn't overcrowded and they get excited about their "new" toys every week.

their cage is huge, so while they have a lot of toys there is plenty of room to play with them and explore... and we change things out all the time and there are some toys just for the cage and some just for the tent but a lot of things go back and forth as well.. and some of the toys (like the chains and links, etc) are reconfigurable, so what is done with them after one washing may be completely different then what was done the week prior!

I make my own toys and I change them out often while I clean them and make sure they don't get too bored. I have a 5 ft tall cage that is 3 ft. wide and 2.5 ft. deep. It's pretty large! I have about 4 hanging toys, and stuff on the bottom that he loves to play with. I just want more and was wondering if that's okay???
