For the past couple of days, i've been attempting to make a flex clone. it's going... well, okay, i guess.
My problem is how the nylon webbing is stuck to the gutter guard (see the sticky is you're confused already...)
the instructions say to use 5 min epoxy to keep the ends together, and a sewing machine to hold the webbing around the outer edge pokey bit.
I'm having epoxy problems!! it soaked through the webbing, and it still smells (i did that more than 24 hours ago, so it should be set completely), and feels a little tacky still. so i would conclude that i should NOT put that in the cage with trout. as for the outer edge, my roommates sewing machine is a piece of []cr@p[/], so that won't work at all.

so I've used a gluegun on the whole job. the packaging of the glue sticks doesn't say anything about the toxicity of the glue. and a gluegun is used to hold the gutter guard to the bucket top. so is it safe to assume i can use it on the webbing as well?
I don't want to kill the guy, so any info would be great (unless it is to eat the glue myself to see what happens, cause i'm sure there's another way to go about it.) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

If you use the glue gun on the webbing, just make sure the glider can't get to it to chew. I would be more concerned with the glider choking or becoming impacted with the glue then the toxic potential. I sewed mine and it was difficult chore for my little machine. Glueing it should work though.
