I just got a 175 gal reptarium, and i'm looking for fun things to fill it with. specifically, home made things, cause it's MUCH cheaper. and fun to make...
of course, there's the obvious stuff, like ropes and jingly things. Someone earlier mentioned drilling holes in a stick and filling the holes with acacia gum and other stuff. THAT's the kind of thing i'm looking for!! exciting stuff!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/multi.gif" alt="" /> or even plainer things you wouldn't think to make, but have some wonderfully innovative ideas...

suggestions?

My suggie likes when I put a treat in a kleenex box with shredded paper and he gets to forage for it! Entertains him for quite some time.

[:"blue"]If you have a shelf in the rept, very long lengths of curling ribbon hanging from the shelf or anything else they can hang from are fun.

Stringing cheerios and hanging is fun as an occasional treat. [/]

Um, what do you string the cheerios on?
Also, what type of ribbon? I have ribbon like what is tied to ballons or on gifts--is this o.k.? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
Great ideas! Thanks for starting this post.

[:"blue"] The curling ribbon is the kind you use for presents that can be curled with a pair of scissors or knife so it looks "curly" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You can also use this same ribbon for the cheerios without curling it. Just slip through a cheerio, tie once and tie another one a little farther up the string. Hope that made sense. [/]

[:"green"]I cut lengths of fleece, then crochet them into a long "daisy chain" to make a rope, then hang it in the cage with lanyard hooks. (See attached picture.) You can crochet multiple lengths together by simply knotting one piece of fleece to the next. (I hope that makes sense!)
