Hey, I was wondering the pro's and cons to using a reptarium for the suggies. I'm considering getting one that is very large. I wanted to ask if the suggies like them, if they are easy for them to climb around on, if the suggies can chew through the mesh netting, and how in the world would I put things like food/water dishes in there? Is there a specific kind designed for the Reptariums?
Thanks!

There is a post already on here about how to hang stuff in the reptariums. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to make shelf for food so food will have to stay on the ground. People on the forum use things such as zip ties, key chain rings, twist ties, etc. to hang toys, pouches, water bottles, etc. Also, if your glider is a chewer, than I don't think reptariums would be a good idea, but the mesh on it is quite durable. They will be able to jump and climb around just fine. :o) The only thing I thought was a problem was that the door is one wall of the cage and zips all the way down, down the full side of the cage and I found that it's tricky to keep the suggies in when I want to take the food out of the bottom of the cage. :o) They make great cages for temps and permanent. It's great for traveling and I hear a lot of good things about them from other people as well.

Member, GlidersFoSho posted a thread called "Grr, reptariums." I would read that and look at the pictures to get an idea of how people hang things. GlidersFoSho did a great job showing step-by-step instructions with the metal key chains. :o)

Oops, sorry Richa. I know people have said they were going to try, but didn't know anyone was successful at it. My bad! Hope I didn't offend you. :o) Looks cool though!

I love my reps. I have 2 260 gal. with 4 suggies in one and 5 in the other and a 175 gal. as an extra. They have plenty of play room and I use plastic links (I bought from Dollar Tree and from a children's consignment shop) for hanging stuff. I have pouches I hang, water bottles, chain, branches, and their food is in a food flingers friend on the bottom of the cage. It is wonderful--I wash in the washing machine every week, use astroturf in the bottom and shake everyday. I can even get in the rep with them and play and don't have to buy a tent. LOVE IT!

Nope...no offense taken. No reason to be offended that I could see. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Thanks for the compliment, BTW. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I have 260 gallon, biggest you can get i think. What I do, is I use a plastic wire storage unit and place the food bowls on top. They just climb up and eat, as opposed to eating right off the floor (they hated that) and look at my post "Grr Reptariums", very great, and thank you Christinahan..hehe i tried my best.
Anyway, for the most part, theres not really any cons, unless you can't find a way to hang things. Hooking keyrings into the mesh worked GREAT for me. I just wash the mesh with the keyrings in it, and they don't come out. They don't cut the mesh either and make it so easy to unhook everything.
Hoped this helped!

Where do you get keyrings like that, anyways?
I'm working on getting my reptarium set up, so I'd like to get a bunch of them. Thanks!
