Sorry...no news to report. It gets harder and harder everyday. I mean, at what point do I stop putting fresh food outside with a spare cage? At what point do I stop putting food bowls and pouches around the house? I just can't stop doing it. I have to believe he is still near me somewhere. I truly don't believe he got out of the house. I just wish I had a clue where he went to (even a poo would be nice right now). I'm keeping up the search. I'll keep you posted.

At no point! I say keep it up - your commitment is encouraging! I have great faith that it could very well have been him up there. They love it dark and warm, and that's just what the attic offers! Can you stick any live traps up there?? GOOD LUCK! :HUGS:

Something ate some of the food in the ceiling hole. I don't want to get too excited. Having a mouse up in there in the summer isn't unheard of, so it could just be a mouse getting a free meal. However, the food looked "glidered" with the skin left from the fruit, but no fruit meat. Does that even make sense? Anyway, my hopes are renewed. This is the first sign besides the scratching that may be D. I'm soooo glad I kept putting food out. I've tripled my food bill just looking for D, but if that's him up there it's worth it!

Keeping all my fingers crossed! Have you tried putting one of his pouches or one of his cage mates pouches up in the hole? Anything that might have his or their scent on it might help.

I can't tell, but I think there was some more food eaten. The licky treat type stuff wasn't touched, but there were some veggies and fruits tossed around. They didn't really look like they had been tasted though. Again, this was the food in the ceiling hole. The food left out in the glider room, the food outside in the cage, and the food upstairs for him wasn't touched. It's just the food I put up in ceiling where I tore that hole that appears to be getting messed with. I don't care. Tonight he's getting boiled chicken, mealies, scrambled eggs, watermelon, as well as blueberry and mango yogurt, and I'm drizzling the whole thing with honey! I know that isn't the healthiest of meals, but it's all of his favorites in one dish. Thanks so much for keeping my hopes up. I would have given up weeks ago without you guys.

Have you tried putting the food dish into a Have A Hart trap? This way what ever is going to the plate will get trapped. It is a very human way to catch an animal.
You can purchase them at most hardware stores and maybe even Petco.

Oh, that is a good idea, Brenda! Some human societies will even lend them to you, if they have them. Praying this 'visitor in the night' is your little man and you can get him safely 'home' again very soon.
