I've been doing my research before i get my joey at the end of august and I've come across many cage cleaners. Has anyone had bad experiences or great experience with a product or method?

I havent had any bad experiences with cleaners...mostly I use hot soapy water to clean the pull out trays and the pull out cage bottom.

For the sides of the cages, Ill use natures miracle wipes, then wipe down again with hot water. I haven't had a prob yet.

Others here dilute apple cider vinegar with water to wipe the cages down. The vinegar smell evaporates when it dries.

I use either Kaytee EZ Care™ Quick Clean or Nature's Miracle Stain & Odor Remover to clean my cages. I just spray them down with that stuff and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then scrub and rinse them in the tub. It works great! The Kaytee smells much better, but both work great. Also if you spray the cages down with Kaytee® EZ Care™ Cage Shield after the cages dry completely, it makes it easier to wipe down in between full cleanings. Gunk doesn't stick as bad.

I haven't tried using cleaning products yet and probably won't either since what I'm doing now works for my kids. ^^

I whipe down their cage every other day with a damp cloth to get some of the urine and stuck food off the bars and when I scrub their cage once a month, I dilute some distilled white vinegar and hot water. It works really well at getting rid of the stink! I even whipe down the wooden table their cage is on with it and we all know that wood absorbs smells and it's hard to get rid of. 0.o But, it does an excellent job at getting rid of it. Haha...I tried some distilled apple vinegar before and my kids wouldn't stop trying to eat the cage.

I haven't had any problems yet...but I know some people have said how their gliders tend to overmark when they wash the cage with vinegar. I still can't believe my little man doesn't mark like crazy because he gets...obsessed with stuff like that. If I so much as move the cage to a different area, he goes crazy marking with his head and gives himself eyebrows. =/

I was just recently told to try Seventh Generation. It is all natural and non toxic to the gliders. It was a tip given to me by another glider user given to them from another glider user who has used it already with no ill effects because of it being all natural. I just bought a bottle yesterday at Target. I got tired of using the vinegar and water because no matter how well I cleaned, it did not always cleaned the cage and I got tired of the stinky vinegar smell!
