We are keeping him in hopes of pairing him with a wf/bb female... but the search is slow going as I have yet to locate any one that is or has breed a wf with a bb.

I have a bb female that I'm going to breed to a wfb (champaigne) when they are old enough. She is five months. He is six months. You can bet, if they have a female, I'll be shouting to the world! Your wf/bb is gorgeous!!!
OMG Rhapsody what a gorgeous baby! I've been looking at a WFB and BB that someone is adopting out and was thinking they would make really striking babies ^_^ Good luck in your search for the female I think they are so gorgeous with that light face and beautiful dark coloring ^_^
Good luck to you to Connie that sounds like a wonderful pair ^_^
Thank you both... I am very proud of my little guy and he was my favorite from the get go.
Tiny Joe has a younger brother that is a wf from another female glider in my quad and I think he too might end up being a wf/bb glider as his markings are starting to darken as he gets older - five weeks now.
Here is a pic of the two of them - when Curly had lighter black markings. ... curly has just recently started to darken.
I don't have the best pictures of the little girl, but I'm still looking to see if I can find more... I've attached pictures of both mom and baby though.

WF/BB's are kind of an exception to that rule. They have all the markings of a black beauty except the markings under the ear... If you look my girl has thick, very black markings on her arms/legs that covers most of the leg, heavy markings on the face, her dorsal stripe extends the full length of her back (can't see that well in the pics), and her fur is kind of flaked with dark gray/black threw out her body... But since she is a WF, she doesn't have any markings under her ear, including the chin strap, which is an extension of black bar under their ear to down under their jaw line...
The markings are darker. ^^ The WF gene is dominant so if a glider were to have it, they would be a WF and since it's a dominate gene, it'll "knock out" the BB-chin strap if they have the WF gene.
Aww. Leyna wins...she sounds so smart! And I like to talk in circles...I think what I said is right but I dunno.

That is true of a simply BB - but when you mix a wf with a bb you are getting the best of both worlds... and when one of the joeys turn out to be a wf/bb you will not have a chin strap as the wf will be the dominate gene here, but you will get the thick black marking of a bb.

Beautiful PICS...
Have you found that your WF/BB has a darker grey coloring than the average wf glider does? - my Joe has a darker grey coloring like his bb mom has.

Mirame is a very dark glider. With the exception of my true BB girls Vanity and Divinity, I don't any of my other babies are as dark as her... I'll have to see if I have any pictures of her next to normals...
