I bought extra hardware cloth to make the door part bigger. After putting on the door panel gaurds to hide the metal edges, I just zip tied every other square to the actual cage. It works really well! If you have other questions let me know. PM me. :o)

Could you tell me what size cage is the best for 1 glider? And should you use newspaper in the bottom of the cage?Cause a person I know uses newspaper and I told them not to! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nixweiss.gif" alt="" />

For one glider I would make sure the cage is atleast 3' tall. The other dimensions may vary a bit depending on the type of cage you get but something along the lines of 2' wide and 2' deep. Some cages may be smaller in their depth so go larger in the width.
However, bigger is always better, especially if you plan on gettng your glider a friend in the future. The 3' x 2' x 2' cage should the minimum and only if the glider gets plenty of playtime outside their cage.
For my gliders my ideal cage size for them right now (due to my home/room size and portability) is 5' x 2' x 2' for two gliders and once I have a more permanent home (and stop having to rent!), I want to build the cages taller and wider!
You can use newspaper, but none of the colored pages. I would still be hesitant to use it though if the glider can get access to it.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/littleglider.gif" alt="" /> Thanks for the info <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thanx.gif" alt="" /> the cage he is using now is a bird cage and to me that is cruel <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crying.gif" alt="" /> He was feeding the glider salted peanuts and I told him if he was going to feed him a peanut make it unsalted! I have a female glider that I bought off of Anita Totty and she is the sweetest little <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frostyangel.gif" alt="" />
