I built a cage but have a problem with some sharp edges. Anyone have any ideas on how to make them unsharp? Someone told me to use a glue gun and glue the areas, but I didn't know if they would chew it off or not.

I would put a plastic cover over it- there have been several items discussed here that would work but I don't recall what they where..

Hmmm, I wouldn't use the glue gun...but I don't have any ideas either <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />. Good luck, someone will come along with an idea.

Where is the sharp edge??? If it is the door opening, you can get plastic pieces the wrap the edges (car door edge protectors). You can also use a file (or dremmel) and file the sharp part off and then use a touch of appliance enamel paint to coat the bare metal to keep it from rusting. (I wouldn't paint the whole thing with it but just the cut off end of the wires should be safe)

The sharp edges are on the shelves and door area.

Go to Wal-Mart and in their Automotive Dept. there are things called "door panel gaurds" made by Bell that are $2.46 for 4 ft. Slide it on the edge of the metal. If you want, you can take a look at my cage under "cage ?" on this exact forum.

I slid this stuff on every edge of my cage to be safe.

Lowes sells white plastic door stripping for about $2 for a five or six foot piece. You can also order the colored stripping that is really durable from Klubertanz. It is very inexpensive also.
