I just wanted to know if there is a site where I can go to research norms and not when the baby is almost ready to come out. I would like to know why the are putting food in the pouch, why is the baby so small ( it's tiny) and much more. My baby glider is so much smaller then all the other babies I have seen in this stage. So i guess I am looking for a step by step baby site to put it short. I a just looking to learn as much as possible and I'm not getting my fix ( one might say). Thank you.

You said, "I would like to know why they are putting food in the pouch.." HUH? The parents are putting food in the sleeping pouch? Or the moms pouch?

Really Leyna is right- this is the best site for step by step.

It's been a long while since you're last post so I don't know if you found this or not from Leyna's post, looked through it and found your answer- or are still looking for a good site <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nixweiss.gif" alt="" />

Ok
This girl is a having a problem with rejecting.
Here is a page on rejected joeys and if you wait long enough there is a movie. The mama will feed the joeys, but if the baby wanders out of the cage pouch or you find it on the floor you have a rejection. Also if you hear the baby crying a lot and no one comes to see about it you may have a possible rejection. If this is the case, and you don't have experience, it is best to supplement and put back with mom, but do so (put back with mom)after at least two-3 consecutive feedings. Make sure you put baby back in briefly so mom can clean the baby off with these three feedings, but the majority of the time, keep the baby on you (in bra). After three feedings, you can probably leave with mom after you supplement all the time between feedings. When you need to get it out, just take out, supplement and put back. Mom will clean the joey then. Make sure the baby is warm when you feed it. It may take a while for the page to load for you to see the baby feeding. Rejected joey
Also on this page is a movie of a much smaller joey (4 days old) In one movie I am holding him. They fight at first and then relax. After a couple of times they catch on and feeding is quick. Usually about 3 minutes it takes to feed a newborn. Here is the movie of the wee one Movie of 4 day old Don't let it feed without the control until it catches on. This baby caught on early for this movie, but I ended up having to go back and hold him later because he was so excited.
