Because this is my first time breeding gliders I'm not sure what the female is suppose to look like after her joeys are OOP. Does anyone have any pictures of their female that has joeys around 3 weeks OOP? The reason I'm asking is because my female looks pregnant again because her pouch looks poofy. Is it possible that she looks this way because of her swollen milk glands? Or no? Tonight I will try to take pictures as shes hard to get to stay still!

It is possible that she could be pregnant again. They can mate wile they have joey's ip. Is the pouch lose or does it look like a firm lump.

The pouch looks tight. It doesnt look saggy or anything. Oh no. They can mate while joeys are in pouch and get pregnant?! And then when she births the joey(s) they can go in her pouch even if there are other joeys nursing?! Could this be a reason for rejection or not nursing the joeys she has now? Because once again I found her out of the bed where the babies were until 7am this morning and then was trying to hide under the newspaper on the bottom of the cage : She didnt seemed interested in returning to the joeys
I guess I'm confused because they sleep in the room next to me and I'm a very light sleeper and I haven't heard any loud noises, just Leila(momma) barking. Could they mate quietly if the female wants to mate? rather than her refusing and being loud?
I guess I will need to get pictures to be sure.

Yes, mine are very quiet. A female actually has four teats, 2 on each side of the pouch. Was this her first pregnancy

ohhh 4? That would make since then. Yes, this was her first pregnancy. She is 8 months old. I tried taking pictures last night and she wouldn't hold still to let me. She's a stinker when it comes to getting her picture taken So in the case that she is preg again....is there anything special I should do besides what I have done for her during her first pregnancy now that she may really be trying to feed 3 or 4 babies? She eats great...she eats her protein, and her calcium, veggies and fruit. She is really active. Still amazes me. Shes a strong girl! Is there a point where to many mealies is to many while pregnant and feeding joeys OOP? Thank you for your help Gliderdad!
