Good idea! I don't use BML anymore, but when I did I would cut the cube in half with a knife and serve it that way.

Usually an ice cub equials one Tbls. But I would measure it as I put it in the first couple of times. One glider should eat 1 Talbelspoon so you could cut it in half.
But Make sure you make you measure it as you pour it into the cubes.

I got the really inexpensive ice trays at WalMart. All of the sections aren't the same size! It's cool, though, because there are some 1tbsp sections and some 2tbsp sections (I measured). So the little cubes go in one cage and the big ones in another.

Are yours hard to get out of the ice cube trays? I made BML for the first time last week to feed to a new glider I got yesterday that eats it and I had to use a baby spoon to get it out of the tray. It would not pop out like an ice cube does. Is this normal or did it do something wrong?

I got some of the silcone ice cube trays at Dollar Tree and they are great. They are even shaped like lemon wedges or little pineapples. Very easy to flip out and are smaller than the regular ice trays.

I usually wet the inside of the ice cube tray and shake it dry so it only leaves a small amount of water coating. Much easier for them to pop out.

I freeze my BML in 2 tbsp ice trays, I sometimes have to run water over the back side to get the cubes loose to get them out. Then I throw them in a freezer ziplock baggie.
I have to make double recipes each time so as I have enough for my suggies for about 17 to 20 days worth, and it isn't any more difficult than one recipe.

I only use mine for up to 30 days. Usually when I make BML, I double the recipe; being that I have a few sugiges, it usually only last for 17 to 20 days before all is expended.

I make a double batch of bml every 3 days! I don't ever have to worry about freezer burn!
Shawna Who are you networked with? Networking could save your gliders life. Create one now.

You may want to check to check how your BMl freezes in the tupperware containers. I always had a problem with the vitamins "settling" at the bottom when I froze that way. Now I freeze in icecube trays so even if it does settle it's in equal portions in each cube <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumb.gif" alt="" />

I found some good smaller ice cube trays at Dollar Tree. But I never seem to have room in my freezer to set them flat. However, like Shawna, I'm going through a batch of BML pretty fast now that we have seven Gliders and counting.

I found that I do fine with clearing one spot in the freezer off to a side to stack them all in! that way they are all flat but the rest of the freezer can still serve us...

I have an assigned area in my freezer and assigned areas in my fridge just for the suggie kids; as for my human kids they're always saying, "you always do more for them!" Hehehehe! I never win on that one!

Dollar Tree has some great eight pack little freezer cups with lids. They are square. And I was able to stack them right in my freezer door. They hold about a serving for two gliders.
