hi just wanted to know if it would be harder to not wear cologne if u try to bond with ur gliders. i mean, dont we all wear something that smells other than our natural scent? (in a good way, i mean) so then do we have to wash up or shower before we play with them so they know our natural scent? but then what about the smell of soap and shampoo? im confused! or maybe im just over thinking. hahaha

That's a good question. I think for the most part you should at least use the same shampoo, conditioner, and deoderant (sp? its early) and make sure they don't smell too strong. But once your bonded with your gliders it shouldn't be too much of a prob.

That's another great thing about having gliders..lol. You save money of that stuff because you don't use it as much. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Alot of colognes and/perfumes can make your glider sick, they have such a keener sense of smell than we do so what may seem light to us may be overpowering to them. They also cover your natural scent (as with changing shampoos and soaps, etc.) and may confuse your baby until they are bonded and used to you and that scent. I pretty much quit wearing any perfumes while I have gliders on me. Heck, I even forget to put any on when I don't now, I am so used to not using any..lol

I wear perfume everyday and my glider had no problem bonding to me. They don't just learn your scent, they learn your voice and your face too. scent is very important but I did not feel that it caused a problem bonding.

No they will reconized when they are bonded, just watch, cause some gliders my not like certain smells on you like cologne and could drive them nuts.
