Has anyone else ever noticed their gliders being more sleepy during the winter months or when it is cold out? I have had my boy for about a year and a half now, and I seem to remember this happening last winter too. He doesn't seem to want to play as much and is more interested in sleeping. I thought it might be because of the cold, but I have a heater by his cage that keeps the room at about 75 degrees for his playtime. I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this, or if it is normal.

Mine become lazy bums when it gets cold. But I love it because that means my babies spend more time down my shirt during playtime to keep warm <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cloud9.gif" alt="" />

Mine too will sleep more, it just started getting cold here yesterday,(SC) and last night they stayed in until alomost 9:30 where they will normally come out to play with me around 7 or 8. (My two first gliders, anyway). I add a little extra bedding (fleece pieces, some t-shirt pieces) to help keep them warm and my male "Big" will drag some pieces all over with him, funny guy, Mr. Big!

I live in texas, we dont know what the word winter means ( i can see mexico from my backyard) I want my glider to be hyper, but she's still young so thats ok, that means i get to kiss her and hold her and dont have to worry about a flash of fur running up and down my body.
