I am making some toys and pouches on my own and would like to know about the fleece. I went to a lot of stores here in Malaysia, but most of them don't have fleece... Guess the weather here is too hot... But I finally found a place that sells it. But they have 2 kinds of fleece. One is the short fur with elastic (is like strech) and the other one is a long fur. Both are furry at one side and the other side is like a normal cloth. Can I use those??? Or it has to be furry at both sides???

[:"green"]I think the one with the short fur that stretches would be the better of the two. Also, I've never shipped to Malaysia, but I could look into shipping some to you, if you'd like. I could buy you a variety of patterns & wouldn't charge you any extra, just my cost plus postage. Let me know if you're interested.

Hi SugarGliderSuz, let me say here first that i loved your web page where u teach people how to make the no sew pouches. I already made the no sew pouch and loved it. I bought a little bit of the short fur/strech fleece, coz couldn't wait to change my gliders pouch coz it was very smelly. And that one was the only one i had. Now I have 3 . Thanks very much for offering yourself to post it to me, but I found some here already. it is very kind of you. I have a doubt here. I made the no sew pouch but there are some holes on the bottom. is that normal??? And isn't it dangerous to my gliders' feet get caught on the holes??? Guess I didn't do it propertly...

[:"green"]There will be small holes from where the fringes are tied together. They shouldn't be too big, though. One way to avoid holes entirely is to use one long piece of fleece (about 18" long x 12" wide), fold it halfway down the length of it so that it is 9" long x 12" wide & then cut the fringes just along the two sides, double-knotting pairs of fringes as for the regular No Sew Pouch. This will leave a seamless area along the very bottom of the pouch. I haven't had any problems with my gliders' feet getting stuck in the holes, though. Oh... I thought I did something wrong... Well, my gliders spend the day and part of the night in there. Guess they also liked it a lot . So far so good. If u don't mind I still have a question... Why is the short fur that streches better than the long fur that doesn't stretch? Oh, and is it ok if there is only one side with fur and the other doesn't?

[:"green"]I would be concerned that the long fur would get matted upon washing and then the glider's nails could get caught in it. The stretching really didn't have anything to do with my recommendation. Yes, it's okay if only one side has fur... In that case, I would probably put the fur to the inside for snuggly warmth for the glider - but it may not look as pretty that way. Another option is to double-layer it so that the fur is on both the inside & the outside... Play with ideas and see what you can come up with!
