I know some people here in GC have mentioned that they use vinegar and water to clean their cages. My first question is, does this need to be rinsed off or is it safe enough to not rinse it? I`m also wondering, how much vinegar should you mix to the water? And also, does it matter what kind of vinegar? I have read that apple cider vinegar should be used for disinfecting around your house, I just want to double check to make sure this is also safe for our gliders

When I esed to use vinegar to clean my cage I always rinsed it all off really good ans I don't think it is okay if you leave it on. I don't remember how much of it I mixed with the water but it wasn't very much.

I use vinegar to clean my cages/ toys. I pour vinegar in a spray bottle and fill the rest of the bottle with water. I wash all my cages outside so I use my hose. I spray the cages down, sprintz on the vinegar, let sit for a few minutes, scrub the cages down, and then rinse really well.

Apple cider vinegar is best for personal care ie - if it is going to be ingested. However, for cleaning the white vinegar is best. I believe there really is no need to rinse.

I take a spray bottle and fill it with water, add just about a teaspoon of white vinegar and a couple of drops of an antibacterial dish soap. I spray it on, let it sit a few minutes then hose or powerwash it off. Vinegar should always be thoroughly rinsed off as well as any cleaning agents like the dish soap, etc.

I also use the spray bottle. I pour about 3 tablespoons in and the rest with water, but I always rinse everything off after spraying and scrubbing. The fumes aren't deadly and if ingested is not a big deal, but paranoia gets the best of me and I don't want them to have to smell it.
