Well, looking at their care sheet on sugar gliders, I would say they have no clue what they're talking about. The diet they describe is absolutely not right, and the rest of the info is vague. The fact that they sell gliders wholesale to pet shops also tells me they are a mill breeder and should be avoided at all costs. It would definitely be a better idea to find a reputable breeder near you.

I used to frequent that store a lot (I live kinda out of the way from them now). I've never bought a glider from them (just a red tail boa and a pair of lovebirds) but a friend of mine has & he's very healthy and so adorable! I've always been welcome by them and the ladies are very nice and seem to know their stuff. I used to buy all my prairie dog supplies from them. The woman I usually talk to is Suzette. And they sell a lot of sugar glider treats and pouches, good size cages and books. I do know they carry a lot of Brisky products.

They are a mill breeder. I got my WT female from them and she is evil. I don't beleive she has ever been handled. I will never buy from them again and I don't recommend them to anyone.

I know Suzette personally and although she herself is a very nice person, I would not recommend anyone to buy from her. Everytime I go into her store she has joeys about 4-5 weeks OOP for sale. When I call her on it, she says they arent going to *go home* for another couple weeks though...even though they are away from their mom, and have food bowls of their own, I know she is being less then truthful.
The last time I was there and she was showing me some, they were no where near handable...since GC is a G-Rated board, I can not repeat the words she used to describe them....

I too personally know Suzette and really like her. I agree with Peggy 100%. I do get gliders of color from her. She takes fairly good care of her special ones which she keeps in her house. Gliders shouldn't be treated differently based on color but sadly it is business. My gliders I got from her are so unique and amazing. Their temperment was crabby but know are so sweet. I recommend you find a breeder who also ships who takes care of the gliders better. You will be happier with the babies that way!

Thank you everyone for your opinions, much appreciated. Anyone have any experience with suncoast sugar gliders? www.sugar-gliders.comAlso Pet Kingdom USA out here in Vegas has sugar gliders. My concern about their male joeys that are 9 weeks oop is that they come neutered. Now is it bad to have joeys neutered at such a young age? What are your takes on this?

I agree with finding a small scale breeder. You want to find someone that at least handles the babies a few days a week. Closing laptop now....... lol

This comment really bothers me... Why would you buy and support her "fairly good care of her special ones" To me that's just like saying what she's doing in fine and dandy... All gliders are special. Please don't support people like this.

My little WT came from Lisa at Suncoast Gliders. I talked to her quite a few times as I waited for my little baby girl to be old enough to leave her parents. I thought Lisa was great and Xena(my newest baby) is a sweetheart... I have had her a few months now and she is by far one of my most hand tame gliders. When strangers(to my gliders) want to see and pet one of my 8 gliders,, I usually chose her or my twins that were born here and I handled from day 1....They are the sweetest and calmest of my gliders. SO I would recommend Suncoast (however I only have ever seen 1 glider from them) 3 of my others are rescues thou and the last 2 are alittle high strung but came from another reputable breeder. good luck with your glider search=)

Just my two cents, but I would definitely recommend taking the time to do the research and find a small-scale breeder to get your glider from, one that handles them frequently and gets them used to people. Especially if this will be your first glider - it's a lot to get used to when your new baby is curious, friendly, and LIKES people - it's a lot harder when your new baby is scared, too young to be away from its parents, and has NO IDEA what people are all about - the bonding is much harder in that case. I speak from experience on that one - my first glider came from a mill breeder and was too young, and she was SO CRABBY. My family is just amazed now when they see her interact with me or have playtime with us - they can't believe that little crabby monster has turned into such a great glider, but it took a lot of work and a lot of patience. It's very rewarding, and I love my little Bella, but a lot of people would have given up, and honestly she came around much faster than some stories I've heard. I'm just suggesting you make it easy on yourself and get a little loveable baby from one of the great small-scale breeders - there are quite a few on here!
Cindy, Wife to Dee and Mom to: two beautiful daughters, Kendall & Reagan, one handsome son, Dee IV, one silly American Eskimo, Jasmine, and our four gliders, the "big kids", aka Bella & Beau, and "the babies" Kandy & Kane, from Cora!

Hi, My aunt used to own Pet Kingdom there in Vegas before she passed away. I loved the store, but she is the one who told me gliders are mean, because the ones they had were. What is the store like? I know it has changed some. Find a glider breeder here in the glider community and you can't go wrong!

I too have a wfb pair from Anita and they are so awesome. They have a precious pair of female joeys just oop. All their babies are sweet. Twinkie and Jasper are a perfect pair. Jasper is a big mush face. I love them both to pieces. I would definitely suggest doing your research and getting your joeys from a reputable small breeder. My first two were from suncoast and they still will not let me handle them as I do all my others. The don't have a problem with me rubbing them in their nesting box or taking the joeys out to play. They just are'nt as sociable as all my others. I take great pride that I handle all my suggies every day. I get speciall attention to the joeys that will be going to new homes.

I also just received a WFB pair from Anita. Their plane was 2 1/2 hours late arriving and she kept in constant phone contact with me, just as worried about the little ones as I was. Edward is an angel and Bella is coming around - she's just a little shy in her new surroundings. You can tell a lot about a breeder by the way they talk about their babies in their communications with you. There are many, many, breeders out there. Shop around and you shouldn't be disappointed. LOL.

I got a little WFB man from Miss Anita also....and I wouldn't trade him for the ENTIRE WORLD From the first day I laid eyes on him, I fell in love with Mr. Amos and feel SO FORTUNATE that he lives with me. He has a special place in my heart, and I'll never forget all the things we've learned together...patience and love and trust.
