I just got a new baby and I know they need a few days to settle in before you mess with them. But how long after that before they can travel with you?

Thanks

Depending on what you mean by traveling. Are you talking about short or long trips?
Either way, I would suggest to wait until you feel that they are comfortable with you when taking them out and carrying them around in a secured pouch.
If you've just recently purchased them, for now I would say to wait at least a couple of weeks before introducing them to more new activities.

Well the trip would be about four hours away for a couple of days.

I don't see where that would be a problem. Just make sure that you have things in his cage/carrier that are familiar to him. I always keep a pouch that's a little smelly with some blankies kept inside to give them a little sense of security.

Just be careful and vigilant. If your baby is very hand tame that will help alot. Otherwise, a scared glider can move really fast at a split second's notice if spooked or scared. If you do travel this soon, I would refain from too much interaction outside of the cage for safety reasons.

If you do not take them will someone be able to care for them while you are gone?

Well I would find someone. That is why I was trying to see if it would be best to take them or find someone capable of caring for them while i was gone. I don't want to stress them out on the trip.
