Gidget has babies again. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yelclap.gif" alt="" /> They are still pink, their tails are turning black, but they are always laying on top of her belly outside of her pouch (see attachment). When I look at them, they are still attached, but does this mean that they are oop and okay to hold, or should they still be left alone? She lets me touch them, then when she's had enough of me touching them, she pulls her pouch open and stuffs them back in with her nose. I don't want to do more than touch if I'm going to detach them too early.
NO, they are not OOP yet! Often times, moms will pull the joeys bodies out of the pouch just to make her more comfortable. They are probably still attached to the nipples and are not ready yet to come all the way oop nor ready to be held. I know how hard it is waiting but you don't have much longer.

Thanks Teresa. I'm surprised Gidget lets me touch them, but they are so dang adorable I just can't resist. She licks my finger while I'm touching them, and I'm very gentle. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer - about a week you think?
[:"green"]They are definitely not really o.o.p. yet. I agree with Teresa, refrain from holding them & only pet them a little bit at this point. They look like they have about another week to go.
Hey Sil! I met you at the Utah Get Together. She has big brother to babysit too, so Gidget will hopefully get plenty of rest, and time to eat this go round.
