I think duckie might be dehydrated. I was doing the tent test and it seemed a little off. I want to get him fluids anyways just incase.

I heard pedialite and gatorade is good for that, I just dont know how to give it to him. Do i use a surenge or just put it in his water bottle?...

Do I add water to is as well? if so how much water for 4 oz?

Pedialyte is best, most gliders like the apple flavor more than other flavors. Using a syringe is the easiest way to see how much he is drinking.

If he is dehydrated, you need to figure out why. Are there any other symptoms? Dehydration can be a first sign of something else going on. I would strongly recommend a vet visit today to check fecals and have a urinalysis done to make sure there isn't anything wrong that could be causing him to be losing fluids. hug2

I had the fecal test done and it came back good.... I used to add a little bit of apple juice to his water but stopped doing it so much because someone told me to only do it once or twice a week, and I think he just stopped drinking it because it was plain water...

should I keep adding the apple juice to the water? because when I had it in there he drank the [censored] out of it..

no other signs, just the tent test. I have also been watching him really really close because I am scared he might get sick... I just have that fear for my babies...

I know many people recommend the tent test, but it's not 100% accurate. If you are concerned, you should take your baby to the vet. Gliders do not drink alot of water - they get much of their hydration from their food (depending on what diet you feed). He was drinking the apple juice/water mix because it was sweet and a treat - not because he needed the hydration. A glider should always have regular water available at all times. If you feel you want the apple juice, it should be offered in addition to water, not instead.
